We have just launched a new CMS site for Stockwood Consulting. Stockwood Consulting provide training and support services to residential and domestic care companies, Primary Care and other health related organisations. The site was custom built within the Word Press platform and offers control of the whole content of the site by Stockwood Consulting who have been using the CMS for just over a week now and already have tripled the number of pages in their site.

Do you have an existing Actinic Store?
Are you looking to upgrade to the newest version of actinic, Actinic v10?
If so give Caged Fish a call on 01858 469988.
Caged Fish will take your existing Actinic Store and upgrade it to the current version, Actinic version 10 implementing all of the new features such as Realtime Stock, Recently Viewed Items, The Streamlined Checkout and Customer Feedback.
Also worth noting is the speed of Actinic is quicker. On a Test Site (80Mb) approx 300 products, Caged Fish found that Actinic 10 was 1/3rd faster to do a full refresh than Actinic 9. (10 minutes as opposed to 15 minutes). Also the time to Snapshot was quicker.
If you are interested in upgrading, or even having an ecommerce site built within Actinic v10 then give Caged Fish a call on 01858 469988 or email us at steve@cagedfish.co.uk

At Caged Fish we are great advocates of blogging and particularly blogging for business. They’re a great tool connecting with your customer and for targeting search phrases for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). So with issue 13 we thought we’d give you some quick and easy tips to write a better blog post.
So without further ado here they are…
- Write less (250 Words is enough)
- Litter the post with keywords
- Keep it simple
- Link like mad
- Include Bullet point lists
- Make Headlines snappy
- Make your posts easy to scan
I’ll now expand on these a little.
- Write less (250 Words is enough)
It’s as simple as that, the web is a fickle place and the majority of readers don’t have the time or inclination to read your War & Peace epic.
- Litter the post with keywords and key phrases
Think about what keywords your potential viewer may find your post by and use them.
- Keep it simple
Simple is simple! Simple to read, simple to understand, simple to digest, so keep it simple.
- Link like mad
Link to other pages in your site with relevant keywords. Link to other websites that are relevant to your blog post. Google likes links and threading throughout your site.
- Include bullet point lists
People love lists, they structure your info in an easily digestible format
- Make headlines snappy
Snappy headlines grab attention and pull your reader in. Contain your whole message or argument in your headline, keep it short, snappy, to the point and grab your readers attention.
- Make your posts easy to scan
Every few paragraphs insert a sub heading. Make sentences and headlines short and to the point. People scan through content on the internet so posts should be short and snappy rather than a long babbling mess.
So there’s 7 quick and easy ways to write a better blog post, to the point and concise, which is what your posts should be
Happy blogging.
