Hi, welcome to issue 7 from the fishbowl. This issue is going to be short and sweet but give you a very interesting insight into how Google 'sees' your site.
Who's linking and how many pages?
Interestingly Google will tell you how many pages of your site it has referenced and how many sites are linking to you if you ask it the right question. Here are those questions...
In the Google search box put these 2 searches in and see the results.
To see how many pages put site:www.yourdomainname.com
so for example ours would be site:www.cagedfish.co.uk

The Results (circled in red) show how many pages are referenced.
Then to see how many sites are linking to yours
link:www.yourdomainname.com so for example ours will be link:www.cagedfish.co.uk

Again the amount of sites linking (circled in red) is shown in the results.
As a rule of thumb, Google likes a site with a lot of pages and with lots of links from other sites, so being aware of how your site's performing can help with your stategies for SEO.
